Ordinary Savings
Each member is required to save a minimum of One Hundred Thousand Uganda Shillings (UGX 100,000) per month. Savings help to grow a member’s portfolio and can be withdrawn. They act as security when a bigger loan is required.
Ordinary Shares
The Society generates investment funds from shares. A member is requested to own a share and a maximum of 500 floated shares. The Society invests these shares on behalf of the member and dividends are distributed annually.
Loans
Loans are the major service to the members. As a cooperative, we build our members’ financial portfolio by giving them low interest rates. Our interest is below the market interest offered by other commercial lending institutions. This makes it attractive to members. We avail opportunity to members to meet day-to-day needs and investment aspirations through access to these affordable loans.
Target Accounts
We provide this service to members who have a need they want to meet in the near future. A special interest rate of up to 10% per annum is paid to a member when these funds stay longer on the account and we invest them.
School Fees Account
This is a special account that parents open for their children where money is saved on a regular basis. The account earns interest. The Society pays the fees on behalf of the parents/guardians.
Pension Account
This is a special account for senior citizens. It’s a safe way to earn interest in retirement. We secure the funds of the members until they are comfortable about where they want to invest. We not only give Financial advice but slod add occasional monitoring visits.
Medical Account
This is an account where one deposits money that earns interest. Its then withdrawn as and when a medical need arises.
